Michael Annett’s No. 15 Toyota Camry Sports Pilot Flying J’s “Best Coffee on the Interstate”

Posted by: lori

Kansas City, Kan. (September 29, 2010) – Michael Annett's Germain Racing Toyota Camry will carry a special paint scheme for a portion of the final stretch of 2010 races beginning with this weekend's NASCAR Nationwide Series Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. The No. 15 Pilot Flying J Coffee Toyota Camry will promote longtime sponsor Pilot Flying J’s “Best Coffee on the Interstate” initiative. Among the tracks where Pilot Flying J Coffee branding will be featured on the Germain Racing Toyota Camry are Gateway International Raceway on October 23, Texas Motor Speedway on November 6 and Phoenix International Raceway on November 13.

Scott Wombold, Vice President, National Accounts and Wholesale Fuel for Pilot Flying J, noted the organization’s excitement for the race promotion, “We at Pilot Flying J are very enthusiastic about our relationship with driver Michael Annett and his No. 15 race car. We are also enthusiastic about the great coffee we offer to all the drivers we know, whether they be professional drivers who depend on us for diesel fuel and other services or the traveling public who also depend on us every day. We are proud to offer the best coffee on the interstate and Michael is helping us get the good news out with his race car.”

“Pilot Travel Centers has been behind me 100% throughout my racing career, so incorporating their popular coffee brand into our race program is very exciting. Not only are we both looking forward to running the Pilot Flying J Coffee paint scheme, but we’re also excited about the activation program that’s happening at the track in conjunction with these races. Race fans travel for miles to attend these events, so supporting an initiative that they can incorporate into their travels goes hand-in-hand with what a race sponsor hopes to benefit from,” said Annett, “Traveling from track to track, I spent a lot of time on the road myself each week and always make Pilot Flying J locations my number one stop for all my travel needs. You couldn’t ask for a better pit stop along to road to the next racing event.”

In addition to the Pilot Flying J Coffee races, sampling of Pilot Flying J’s “Best Coffee on the Interstate” will be available in the fan zones at upcoming NASCAR events at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Gateway International Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. Fans can also log on to www.pilotflyingj.com to find conveniently located Pilot Flying J stops along their route.

Annett’s experience on Kansas Speedway’s 1.5 mile D-shaped oval includes starting ninth in last season’s Nationwide Series race, as well as qualifying fourth, finishing fourth and leading 29 laps of the 2008 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menard’s race.

Still aiming to break into the top-10 Nationwide Series championship point race, Midwest native Annett will hit the Sunflower State track in his No. 15 Pilot Flying J Coffee Toyota Camry on Friday for practice from 3-4:30 p.m. and final practice from 6-7 p.m. Both practice sessions will air live on SPEED. Race day kicks off with Nationwide Series qualifying at 10:05 a.m. and the green flag waves for the start of the Kansas Lottery 300 at 3:30 p.m. Tune to ESPN 2 and MRN Radio at 3 p.m. for live coverage of Saturday’s race. All times are ET.
