Bodine Finishes Third with Valvoline Tundra at Bristol
Mooresville, NC (08-25-2011) – Todd Bodine and his teammates found their stride at Bristol Motor Speedway. Bodine qualified the No. 5 Valvoline Tundra in ninth place and spent the majority of Wednesday night’s 200 laps or racing in the top-five. Throughout the O’Reilly 200, Bodine kept the Valvoline Tundra clear from the nine cautions that slowed the race and brought home a third-place finish.
“We struggled a little bit, we didn’t have the ‘best’ truck tonight. Our Valvoline Tundra struggled with a power steering issue. In the middle of the corners the power steering would go out and it was interesting,” said Bodine. “We’ve developed a great relationship with International Trucks and Monaco RVs and they were on board on the Valvoline Tundra with us. Tonight is a performance that is what our team is about. We’re used to top-fives and strong runs. It was a great third-place finish. We didn’t have a perfect night, but it was a great result.”
Bodine holds onto tenth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings, 72 points behind the leader.
The next race is Friday night, September 2nd at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
